Batting strike rate measures how quickly a batter scores runs, calculated as (Runs ÷ Balls Faced) × 100. A batter who scores 75 runs off 50 balls has a strike rate of 150 — meaning they're scoring at a pace of roughly 150 runs per 100 balls faced. It's a measure of scoring speed, not consistency; batting average, which the Average Calculator can help with, measures how many runs a batter scores before getting out. Strike rate matters most in limited-overs cricket, where every ball faced has a direct cost.
Divide total runs scored by total balls faced, then multiply by 100 to express the result as runs per 100 balls. To find the runs or balls needed to hit a target rate instead, use the Required Runs or Required Balls modes above.
